Williams教授是银行学和金融学专家，都灵大学、马耳他大学客座教授，欧洲银行和金融教师协会（The Wolpertinger Group）主席、英国会计和金融协会（BAFA）金融市场和机构组别（Financial Markets and Institutions Special Interest Group）财务主管，特许银行家协会（Chartered Banker Institute）质量与标准委员会成员。他的研究成果发表于Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Stability等权威国际期刊。他近期的研究主题包括银行业高管薪酬和公司治理、金融市场的放松管制和竞争以及金融科技等。
